Family Time

One of the best parts of our summer was that Dominic got a lot of face-time with both sets of grandparents.  At the end of May, Nana and Papa made the trip down to SC to enjoy the sunny weather for a week.  They were also here while Dominic had some minor surgery, and lent several helpful hands while he recovered.  Then, in June, Grandma visited from Wisconsin.  We spent a fun-filled week visiting the beach and the local botanical gardens, and taking lots of walks.  Grandma watched Dominic a couple of times so Mommy and Daddy could get out for some husband-wife time.  Shortly after her departure, the entire Pica clan arrived in SC for the annual Fourth of July/Nana's birthday celebration.  The happy chaos that ensued was, of course, filled with lots of time spent with Nana and Papa.  After the fun, we loaded up the car and drove to NY, where we spent some time before and after we flew to WI, where we were able to spend lots of quality time with Grandma and Grandpa touring Southern Wisconsin and stopping at every Culver's (Mommy's favorite) along the way!  The bright, sunny days of summer were made brighter by the grandmas and grandpas. (Awwwwwww!)
